White Linen Night- Another NOLA Tradition You Must Experience
We love so much about New Orleans, and if you’re reading this, we know you do too! The culture, the art, the traditions, the architecture: these are what make NOLA so unique. One of our favorite traditions coming up this weekend that you may not know about is White Linen Night!
White Linen Night is an annual New Orleans art scene celebration that takes place the first weekend in August. NOLA residents and travelers look forward to this night every year, and guests are encouraged to wear white clothing. This tradition dates back to the years before air-conditioned cars were the primary mode of transportation. NOLA residents had to find creative ways to stay cool, and since white clothing helps reflect heat, white linen clothing became popular in The Big Easy summers.Â
In 1994, the Warehouse District started throwing a festival and named it White Linen Night, where artists, shop owners, residents, and those traveling to NOLA come together and celebrate. Guests are encouraged (but not required!) to wear white clothing, and it is a site to see thousands of people together, all in white! There are always so many activities to do- shopping, live music, artwork on display, and of course, yummy food and drink!Â

If you’ve never been to White Linen Night, it’s the perfect time to visit NOLA and truly experience our favorite city's rich culture and traditions. We love it so much that we want to celebrate with a text-only sale AND a giveaway of products in our Fine Linens fragrance! Fine Linens was one of our first fragrances, and it is one of our best sellers. Many customers use this fragrance with our Nu Wash fine laundry detergent. The clean, crisp smell is the perfect way to spruce up your linens for you and your house guests! We also love this fragrance in our ceramic candle for the kitchen or room spray for the bedroom!
